The Icelandic Year — January: The Sun Returns White glossy mug

Bring a little returning light to your everyday coffee or tea. This white glossy mug features The Sun Returns, my January artwork from The Icelandic Year, inspired by Ísafjörður in Iceland’s Westfjords and the moment sunlight finds its way back over the mountains.

In Ísafjörður, people welcome the returning sun with Sólarkaffi: coffee, Icelandic pancakes and time together. I chose this mug for the artwork because it carries that quiet warmth into an everyday ritual—a small reminder that light can return, one ray at a time.

The ceramic mug has a glossy finish and vivid print. It is suitable for both the microwave and dishwasher.
